Hon. Justices Arach, Mwangusya Assigned Extra Roles
Hon. Lady Justice Stella Arach A
Kampala:The Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Bart Katureebe assigned extra roles to three Hon.Justices on top of their core judicial task.
The Hon. Justices who have been assigned extra roles are; Hon. Lady Justice Stella Arach Amino, Hon. Justice Eldad Mwangusya both of Supreme Court and Hon.Justice Richard Buteera of Court of Appeal.
According to the circular issued on April 28, 2017, Hon. Justices Arach and Mwangusya were appointed as chairpersons of Judicial Training Committee and Judicial Internal Disciplinary Committee respectively. The Judicial Training Committee oversees the training component of the Judiciary.
On the other hand, Hon. Justice Buteera has been appointed the chairperson of the case Backlog Reduction Monitoring Committee whose core mandate is to over see the Judiciary case backlog strategy.
Hon. Lady Justice Arach now replaces Hon. Lady Justice Esther Kisaakye while Hon.Justice Mwangusya replaces Justice Faith Mwondha.
The new assignment for the justices a fore mentioned take immediate effect. The office tenure is for three years according to the Chief Justice's circular.
